0 99 Counter Using 4026 Ic And 555 Timer

I have made a project which is mod 00 to 99 using two 4026 ic , 555 timer ic and two 7 segment display (common cathod).this circuit works as a 7 segment deco. 0 – 99 counter using ic 4026. by anjali sethiya may 21, 2013. this circuit can be used in various projects where we require the counting. like in doctors’ clinic or hospitals, in restaurants, in customer care offices where long queue is there and we want to stop the rush at the counter. this system is very effective where man power is less.

This video is about the digital counter from (0 99) by 7 segment display, for that we used 555,cd4026 ic., 4026 is an ic which can perform the function of b. Ic cd4026. 4026 ic is a 4000 series ic. it is a cmos seven segment counter ic and can be operated at very low power. it is a decade counter, counts in decimal digits (0 9). it is used to display numbers on seven segment displays and it increment the number by one, when a clock pulse is applied to its pin 1. This video is about the digital counter from (0 9) by 7 segment display, for that we used cd4026 ic, is an ic which can perform the function of both a counte. To reset the counter, we have used pin 15 with the assistance of a push button. to maintain a strategic distance from the freezing, pin 2 is kept low, and pin 13 is kept high to power the ic. presently, another fundamental part of this circuit, other than ic 4026, is 555 timer ic. the 555 timer ic is utilized here to give the pulse on each button.

Working explanation. a simple circuit uses a 555 timer ic, a decade counter ic 4026 and a seven segment (common cathode type) led. the 555 ic is configured in a monostable multivibrator mode that produces a pulse each time the count key is pressed. the clock pulse is an input to the ic 4026 that counts each pulse and derives the seven segments led. All the circuit is power at 5v. note: the accuracy of this digital clock depends on how accurate you bring the ic 555 pulse to 1 hz. ic 4026 to 7 segment display connection: ic 4026 to 7 segment display connection. you need to connect the 220 ohm resistor to each segment as shown above.
