The dealer wants to charge me $150 to charge it. first, you need to get a pressure gauge kit from either walmart or pepboys & a couple of real 134a feon cans. the low pressure port is located on the passenger side with the letter, "l" on the plastic cap, unscrew the cap & measure the port with pressure gauge to see what reading is it, 50psi. The mdx ac system doesn't seem to be any more leak prone than others, but they certainly can develop leaks, just like virtually any other vehicle. the classic way to find and fix the leak: 1) refill the system with refrigerant charged with a uv dye. 2) after it leaks down again, use a blacklight to search for the dye where it exited the system.
