The upshot is that i return to tortured whole for a half hour and change of pummeling when the mood strikes, but i find myself more enamored with the overall sound and aesthetic of sanguisugabogg as opposed to any specific song. the sound of tortured whole suits the music well. the snare has an aggressive pong which i like, and the bass is.

While not reinventing the wheel, sanguisugabogg have created some fun, neanderthalic death metal worth a listen. at just shy of 34 minutes altogether, tortured whole gets in and to the point quick. that's not a bad thing either, one of the best things i can say about this album is it has great pacing. the tracklist is curated almost perfectly.
