The point is with armour the shape is super important in how it deflects. boob armour has never historically existed because it doesn’t work. it would essentially glance incoming pressure off in to a weak point in the middle of the chest. a wider flatter piece of armour while uncomfortable to wear would distribute force to a wider surface area.
