Sharpspine well known member. i recently bought a gem micromatic clog pruf se razor and i have two observations. first it's an excellent razor, though frankly i don't see much difference in the comfort and the shave between the various star, ever ready, and gem se razors made in the first 2 decades of the 20th century. You hold the head flat against your cheek and as you make a downward stroke, lower the handle til you hear the whiskers being cut. bingo! you can't, not get a great shave. the razor already holds the blade at the perfect angle in 5 places. so if you hold it close to flat, you can't not get a great shave.
