Audi A4 Thermostat Housing Audi a4 2007 1.6 petrol thermostat replacement. there was no heat inside the car. after inspecting the pipes coming out from thermostat, i realized it was st. Now it is starting to get cold here over night, and the car has no heat. if you leave the system off for a while, then cut it on, it blows warm for about five seconds, then goes luke warm. i have replaced the thermostat, the water pump, bled the system, flushed the heater core ( both hoses are hot), new coolant temp sensor, new expansion tank.
Used Audi A4 Thermostat Housing 04l121026q 3. 07 11 2005 07:21 am. tags. audi allroad no heat solved!!!! this has been a long process but it seems to be finally solved. here is what i did. the car is a 2002 allroad 2.7t with 6 speed manual and 167,000 miles. on a trip to the northlands of wisconsin last winter, our family froze our asses off. the trip home was worse. I just purchased a 2004 audi a4 b6 quattro with a 1.8l turbo and have had it 4 days. the one thing i did not test when i bought it was if the heat worked since it was a nice day out lesson learned. my son is driving the car and called me because the temp gage went to 3 4 and then he called back an said it dropped to 1 2 and coolant light came on . Replace the seals and the o rings. – clean the surface on the o ring. – install the thermostat 4 into the housing 5 for the coolant pump and move it slightly forward arrow . – carefully mount the connector 3 ; while doing this, insert the centering pin 2 into the guide 1 . A suggestion to add: to more easily remove the lower coolant pipe from the thermostat, as it has at least 1 2" insertion length and o ring, it will be easier to loosen or remove the one m8x18 13mm hex head bolt that retains it into top of oil filter bracket it is sandwiched in between the oil filter bracket and retaining bracket for turbo feed oil pipe.
