The games come with a large number of portraits that visually showcase what the different characters look like. this includes a the protagonist, for whom the player can choose a portrait themself. it is possible to change the protagonist's portrait afterwards by opening the character sheet, clicking customize and then appearance. all portraits are gender locked. most of the portraits are.

All elements used as inspiration in the creation of portraits are the sole property of their respective creators. isandir creates custom portraits for baldur's gate that blend with the original game portraits, in both the baldur's gate 1 and baldur's gate 2 styles.
