Bmjr Models Satin Doll Model Aviation The satin doll was designed by dave platt in 1995 as a free flight rubber model to be flown at old warden in england. model was later published in aero modeler and january 1996 flying models. design goal was to create a model reminiscent of those flown in the 1940’s. what the biplane offers is not greater duration, with less building effort. The bmjr satin doll is a great mix of old school stick built and modern laser cut construction. after all of the individual components have been built, it’s time to sand everything to final shape and surface smoothness. anything you leave rough at this point will be magnified through the covering, so take the time to do it right.
