I could not agree more. i do not own these speakers, but i have three pairs of b&w from the same time frame. twenty years ago i should have bought a set of 703 or 704 when they were $1000 per pair and all of the company's speakers were made in england. i really like the 700 series and the 800 series, and i missed out. It could of course be that the 802 is a better speaker, but since they have the same mid, top system, i think that the sonic differens above is related to the crossovers. of course the bass was deeper in 801, but faster in 802. im very happy with my 802. . the are very nice.
