I have a single acting hydraulic pump (and ram) from an old lift gate we scrapped out a while ago (power one way, gravity open the other way). i want to convert the pump into a dual acting unit (power both ways). whats the easy way to do this? been a little while since i've seen the pump, i should dig it out of storage and take some pictures. Attached is their instruction sheet. this comes with a closed center plug in the t port for use as a 4 way double acting control and the n port is used for return. remove it. follow the written instructions for use as a 3 way. plug the a port closest to the handle. 2 if your cyl. is double acting, you could just add a hose to that end to the pump and have a "power down" trailer, that might be handy some times. this will allow for a smaller reservoir also. it looks like the single acting pumps cost just about the same as you have into this one. by the time you ship it back, the cost of a hose & a few.
