Diaper costs are supported by a grant from the jpb foundation through connecticut children’s medical center. this opportunity was made available by the help me grow national center to help me grow–long island, an initiative overseen by docs for tots. the diapers are secured through the national diaper bank network (ndbn). Allied foundation, a nonprofit founded by allied physicians group, has opened a diaper bank in plainview to help families in need living in nassau and suffolk counties. on tuesday, feb. 14 a ribbon cutting ceremony and open house were held to celebrate the new diaper bank on long island. now the allied foundation is calling upon the community. Enter allied foundation, which operates long island’s first and only diaper bank. in the past year, help me grow – long island has referred 43 families to the allied foundation’s diaper bank. these are families that are in dire need – those who have run out of diapers and options, lacking the money and or transportation to purchase more. Our impact. founded in 2015, the allied foundation diaper bank was created to help end diaper need across long island, rockland county, and orange county. by collecting, purchasing, and distributing diapers to families in need, we work to achieve our goal of ensuring infants children have enough diapers to stay healthy and happy.
