Covid 19 has created unprecedented demand for diapers and increased visibility of the urgency of diaper need. the average infant wears up to 12 diapers a day – that is 360 diapers in a month and roughly 4,320 diapers in a year for just one child. at an average of 22 cents per diaper, this monthly expense can range from $50 to $120.

Fill the warehouse 2024. the st. louis area diaper bank currently works with over 70 partners to identify families experiencing diaper need and together distribute over 250,000 diapers on a monthly basis to guarantee their babies and toddlers are covered. the goal this year is to get our community to rally together to collect enough diapers to. Diaper need results in parents missing work and losing wages. 1 in 4 (25%) of parents and caregivers with diaper need reported having to miss work or school because they did not have enough diapers to drop their child off at childcare, and reported missing, on average, 5.1 workdays in the past 30 days. this represents a loss of $296 per month.
