Most of the hate comes from ignorance, so i personally deal with it by informing those who don't know. most of the time it works out like, with my brother who originally hated all furries and now just seeing it as weird and being accepting of it after i came out as being a furry. but mostly i ignore it especially when it's just simple insults.
