The new dongle (thank you for the heads up on the alternate @jimmy07) came while i was away, so this morning i used it and was able to connect to the hvac module and successfully complete the blend door actuator calibration. i then went out and drove the truck for about 20 minutes. Step 1: insert the ignition key and turn it to the on position. then, hit the ‘auto’ button on the temperature control. turn your car off once the controller says auto on its display. step 2: next, go to the fuse box and pull out the fuse for the ac controller system or hvac actuator. Sometimes the actuators break on these things, but it is usually a broken blend, mode, or recirc door. it happens a lot and it is a very expensive fix if you take it to a mechanic. a lot of times they will replace the entire plenum box. i had the problem with my truck and i was quoted 1800 bucks to repair it.
