I could give many reasons why youth are valuable to the body of christ, but i hold to my top five reasons why the church needs youth—and why they are critical to the missional agenda of the local church. #1 intrinsic value: children and youth are intrinsically valuable as ones made in the image of god and are a visible sign of the extended. Youth ministry is vital to helping teens integrate into the larger, intergenerational community of the church. youth ministry resists the status quo, helping the church stay relevant. youth ministry focuses on inviting those who are not already part of the church into the deeper narrative of god’s plan. youth ministry reminds the church that.
The church has all kinds of opportunities to help those in need. kids can volunteer to work on community projects. they can rake leaves for a widow, or help raise money for the poor. not only will this help the needy, but it will also instill the virtues of helpfulness, unselfishness, and generosity. in addition, it will teach your children to. All are lay led and developed organically. we hope this model will produce better equipped men and women with more time to fruitfully engage the city. 5. to embrace the role of the church. the main way to plug into the church is to plug into the church—the whole church. for years we took on the role of matchmaker. This allows them to form deeper connections. it is essential to create a sense of belonging in your church. this connection to the church body will help members feel more satisfied and will encourage them to be more involved. be intentional as you create small groups. tailor your small groups to the specific needs and interests of each group. Here are five reasons i believe you should keep children in church (that is, the main service) regularly: 1. children aren’t an inconvenience. this is one reason churches remove children from regular worship services. they want a “professional” church service where adults can enjoy the worship without being disrupted by noisy children.
