When you break it down, a reference sheet is basically "hey, my oc looks like this" but as a drawing. sure a lot of times there are additional details included in these sheets like age, sex, gender, sexual orientation, height, or even personality traits etc but in essence, ref sheets exist to help us understand the oc more. Now, to the real stuff! i'll be making a few free reference sheets, a few if not all will be used for commission examples. i'm not at a point where i can draw every species or even feral animals for that matter, so please don't be rude if i reject refuse to draw your character. anyways, ya got nothing to lose so comment below, if i accept.
Fur is made up by hair, and the way to draw hair is, well, to draw a line. so, if you aim to draw realistic looking fur where you can see the individual hairs (for example, in portraits), you need to use lines. a lot of lines. the length of the fur depends on the length of those lines the longer the hairs, the longer the lines have to be.
