How to make fursuit foam head bases, the bucket method, a great beginner method if you are new to fursuit making.don't have an electric knife? you can get on. Glue the edges together with a hot glue gun. take the sides of the foam and glue them together to create a tube. do a little bit at a time to allow the glue to cool until you have a straight, secure seam. hold the edges together during this process to fully stick each side of the foam to the other. For doing this, i highly recommend you either use a “bucket head” style fursuit, or at least leave a lot of foamwork over the front of the head if you’re doing balaclava heads. kilcodo has a good video demonstrating this if you look up her channel, but if you don’t want to do an all foam head, at least leave a half inch layer of. After you make your marks, cut the foam out. remember to make your scissors perpendicular to the foam. do not cut at an angle. 3. glue it. take your hot glue and connect the two foam pieces together. slowly make your way up. only glue a little bit and hold it until dry. repeat until you get to the top.
