Let’s chat about growing up in the 80s and being an 80s kid. it brings me so much joy to sit down and write to you all the amazing ways life was different back in the 80s. as a child growing up in the 1980s ( i was born in 1975 so the pivotal years of my childhood and teens, from ages 5 to 15, took place in this decade ) our life was vastly different then from the world we know now.
6. waiting for nuclear war: if you grew up in the '80s, the possibility of nuclear war felt very real. it was the cold war, after all, and it didn't help that adult conversations often drifted to. In conclusion, growing up in the 80s was a magical time filled with wonder, imagination, and connection. the sense of community fostered by technology, the inspiration provided by movies and tv shows, and the unique fashion and pop culture, are some of the reasons that make the 80s a golden age of childhood. while times have certainly changed.
