Having a mirror in front of oneself in itself will not result in karahāh (dislike) in one’s salāh.[1] however, if this draws one’s attention away and infiltrates one’s thoughts, then this will result in karahāh.[2] a person should specify another place for performing salāh to prevent any disruption when performing salāh. mufti faraz. Shaykh ibn jibrin (may allah have mercy on him) said: “if a person prays with a mirror in front of him, his prayer is valid even if he is facing it and can see himself in it. but he has to lower his gaze and not look at it. he should keep away from it and from everything that may distract him during his prayer.”.
Whilst in the rukū’ (bowing) posture, one’s eyes should be locked onto one’s feet. whilst in the qa’dah (sitting) posture, the eyes should be lowered to one’s lap. having a mirror in front of oneself in itself will not result in karahāh (dislike) in one’s salāh.[1] however, if this draws one’s attention away and infiltrates one. It is offensive (makruh) to pray on or towards anything that is distracting, such as something striped or a person who is facing one. [1] a mirror is similar. as for praying with a mirror in the room, i have not seen our imams mention this. a reflection is not considered a picture of animate life, so it would not appear to be a problem in our. In the name of allah, the most beneficent, the most merciful. answer. if a person fears that by reading salah in such a state in such a place where his concentration towards the salah will be affected, then it will be makruh (disliked) to pray there, if not there is nothing wrong in reading salah in such an environment (aapke masaail p.439 v.2. 2.praise be to allah, the cherisher and sustainer of the worlds. 3.most gracious, most merciful. 4.master of the day of judgement. 5.you do we worship and your aid we seek. 6. show us the straight way. 7.the way of those on whom you have bestowed your grace; those. whose (portion) is not wrath; and who go not astray.”.

(fatwa: 467 385 b=4 1439) it is lawful, salah will be valid. but it is better to cover it with curtain so that you can avoid seeing the reflection of yourself or others in the mirror. allah (subhana wa ta'ala) knows best.
