Use a straight edge to connect the dots. connect the dots inside with diagonal lines. add dots that are centered on each line. connect those dots with a straight edge. erase the gray lines shown. erase three more lines. trace the drawing with a marker. color the shapes with a light, medium, and dark shade of one color. This is a video showing how to create a simple abstract design. it is good for introducing basic concepts like use of a vanishing point to create the illusio.

I just finished creating this new op art video tutorial for my 4th and 5th grade students and wanted to share! we will be starting this art lesson later next week. i plan on stretching this lesson out over (4) 40 minute classes. i created an op art video for this lesson a few years ago, when i first started making videos, but never. Drawing op art tubes. choose two of your dots and connect them with a curved line. from here you can proceed in a couple of ways. one, you can continue working on the same tube until you reach the edge of your paper. or, you can connect all of your dots first, before moving onto the next step. for my example, i worked on on one tube at a time.
