The shirt length measurement is taken from a point straight out from the center of the neck opening down to where your shirt ends. measuring shoulder width the shoulder width measurement is taken at the top of the shirt from one sleeve seam to the other. 3. measure just below the armpits for the chest size. find the seams where the sleeves attach to the shirt. place a measuring tape across the shirt just below these seams. make sure that the end is aligned with the left side seam, then measure across to the right side seam. write your measurement down.
2. measure your sleeve length from your neck to your wrist. hold the top of the measuring tape against the middle of the back of your neck. from there, guide the rest of the tape over the top of your shoulder and down to just below your wrist. measure along the curve of your arm with your elbow slightly bent. Measure from the bottom of your neck to the top of your hips. find a friend to help you take this measurement. situate your measuring tape on your back at the bottom of your neck in between your shoulders. bring the measuring tape down until it is in line with the top of your hips, and then write down your torso length.
