Received 2 likes on 2 posts. i would take the sensor out before you start yanking on that lower radiator hose. it's a little bit of a pain in the butt to get out but just be gentle with it. there is a little plastic clip that you have to pull gently off in order to get the sensor out. fyi, i would order a new plastic clip (or 2) while its raining.
The mercedes oem one on the car look undersized too. the upper hose is perfect. any suggestions? i did not see a sticky on this hose. all i saw was "replace" hose. i had to pry the radiator up a tad to put the lower one on the(the thickness of the hose would not clear the structure of the car) radiator, but putting the other end on the block is. This was as easy as removing ten or so 8mm and 10mm bolts. drain the coolant from the radiator. (open the blue color drain plug on the driver side of the radiator, and open cap so air can get in.) looking down on the passenger side, you can see the electrical connector on top of the temp sensor: remove the electrical connector by pushing. Dec 21, 2011. #8. i remove the metal clips, then take a 8" 3 8" drive ratchet extension and stick it through from the front, place the edge of the extension on the edge of the hose and give it a few gentle taps. when putting back on, put the clip in the locked position and slide the hose over the radiator neck and push until you hear and see. Figure 6 this photo illustrates the other end of the upper radiator hose at the coolant pump housing. you do not need to remove this clamp and remove the hose you can just flex the hose and tuck it out of the way. we recommend you replace all cooling system hoses when you replace your radiator.
