If it's not gushing coolant at that point you can probably drive it to the mechanic, depending on the distance there. if coolant is gushing out, then you'll have to fix that first or have it towed. as always, never open the cooling system (eg radiator cap) when the coolant is hot since it is pressurized at that point.
