The stocker will heatsoak due to the manifold and how the sensor is made. with the 1.8t sensor the intake air temp changes almost instantly after the car is started with a hot manifold. my orig dyno (comparo) just had the sensor in air right plugged into the stock connector by the fpr. all later ones it was down near the filter. Rotate the sensor in the tube to expose the element to the flow of the air. the sensor has a hole for mounting it. mark that hole with a sharpie. remove the sensor. drill out the the hole you marked. i used a 1 8" bit and a "large" vw interior screw to hold the sensor in. use the screw to tap the hole before fitting the sensor.
