The italian job [1969] is better than the [2003] remake. the original italian job (with micheal caine) is one of my favourite films and has been since i was little. it’s just a classic! unfortunately though, whenever i ask people if they’ve watched it, they just say “yeah, the one with mark wahlberg’. *sigh. I believe the italian "job" was the opening sequence in venice. the rest of the film is dealing with the fallout of the betrayal from ed norton. it's a very different film to the original tbh and i don't think it was intended to be a like for like remake. it's not better than the original italian job but i don't think it's really trying to be. After getting a pretty good game for the playstation 1, the movie got revisited once again in 2003 with a remake by f. gary gray. it’s makes me happy to say that both films work very well together and a lot of fun can be had with the original and also the remake. of course, we’re going to start with the 1969 classic.
