As it got to the end, i grew to like them both, nishikata is an idiot, imbecile actually, he couldn't tease a mouse never mind takagi, but i suppose he has that charm of realism there, we aren't all as witty as others around us, and that can make us loose composure more so, but i think moreover, he was obviously crushing on takagi (durrr) which i think watching him caused him to fall victim to.
