Kristin Hardiman Day At The Races Sir John Sulman Prize 2012 Art Finalist 2014 mosman art prize i love a day at the races capturing the excitement and colour of the day. this oil was based on a number of photographs that i took at the randwick racecourse in february 2014 showing the sensational australian trainer gai waterhouse with one of my favourite jockeys, tommy berry. Fans of the sydney races might recognise the horse and jockey in this painting that was selected as a finalist in the prestigious sir john sulman art prize in 2012 and hung at the nsw art gallery. this is based on a photo i took of the wonderful sydney based jockey, kathy o’hara on sandberg at warwick farm on 18 february 2012.
