This is one reason why some sort of bass trap is essential in every room. to summarize, the three primary problems inherent in music listening rooms are: 1) sound leaking from the music room into the rest of the house; 2) wall shudder; and 3) excess bass that requires bass traps in the listening room. Assuming you sit right in front of your speakers(and even if you don't), this would make a huge difference. my room is more messed up and i used the sumiko method resulting in the wall side being more angled and the non wall side being ever so slightly back.
