As a previous owner of a set of 3.1tl speakers, i agree with previous statements regarding amplifier power. they are a fine pair of speakers i owned mine for years until they were replaced by a set of ads l1590s. make sure you have the interconnect cable that goes between the two speakers at a minimum.
