My submission for the #pwnisher #dynamicmachines render challenge. modelled using cinema 4d and rendered in redshift. a bit of a rush job with the sounds, and would’ve liked to spend much longer on adding more details refining the animation and model. My submission for pwnisher’s dynamic machines community render challenge. i picked my concept based on a previous project i completed a couple of months back, it was a perfect fit! another amazing challenge to learn and grow, highly recommend anyone to join on future ones. software used: blender 2.93, cycles, substance painter, after effects, cakewalk, and soundly. thanks for viewing!!! more. [vid above: creative process vfx breakdown bonus render] introduction: for those who haven’t heard, the dynamic machines challenge is a 3d render contest where artists are tasked with creating their own rube goldberg contraption in which a chrome ball enters and does whatever you want it to do before it exits the play area so that it is passed on seamlessly to the next artist’s submission.

This is nice and very creative, also loved the character it dosen't look dead like from its soul lol, however as far as dynamic machines i'm not sure you'll be accepted because you made the whole box transparent, clint said in the discord channel you should not expand too much outside the box. I think it’s visually stunning and is a strong theme but for me the motion isn’t hitting the sweet spot. aside from the chrome ball disappearing for most of the shot, the other little balls are all hanging around the top until the very last moment, at which point somebody else’s render will already be halfway up the screen.
