Instructions. click on printables and print out the headband and feather. glue bands together for the headband and then glue feather inside on the back. staple band to fit the head and you're ready to celebrate. you can also make your own pilgrim father's hat and mother's bonnet. Directions. begin by cutting 2 3 strips (about 2 inches thick) of the brown felt. the number of strips will depend on the size of your child. you will need enough so that when connected, the felt fits around their head. we didn't use a paper headband template or anything but it's easy to create this indian headband with feathers.
