Finally Setup In The New House R Budgetaudiophile Just moved into a new house this week. moved the cabinet around a few times trying to decide where to put it. recently, i was given a yamaha avr, and it pairs quite nice with my sony md cd player, cassette deck, and pro ject tt along with the early 90s klipsch speakers. not pictured is the klipsch sub and a stack of cassette drawers. R budgetaudiophile • i feel so lucky. out of the blue, my neighbor asked me if i’d be interested in her “old speakers”. little did i know, she was about to give me a full home theater setup. b&w speakers w stands, and an awesome sony receiver. it sounds absolutely glorious!. I'm building a new house, and we're looking for the best budget friendly multi zone audio solution. our a v vendor is recommending sonos (which i hear is great but expensive), and i'm wondering if anything else is out there. we'll have roughly six zones, each with two speakers, and we don't really care about surround sound. Ok, your entry level option is a used audio video receiver from denon, onkyo, or yamaha. you need one with hdmi ports and arc you'll usually see (arc) or (earc) near the hdmi out on the back of the receiver if it has it. $40 to $80 should turn this up within a week of hunting on craigslist fb marketplace etc if you're in a populated area. $350 or so if you want to go new.
