North Face Endurance Challenge 50 Mile Race Report By Kaylo Hey y’all, kaylo here. i’d like to share more about my recent experience running the north face endurance challenge 50 mile race. this was my first completed ultra marathon, although i did. Training. my training for my first 50 mile race was not well planned, and it did not go well. i started training 3 months prior to the race, and i quickly ramped up the mileage from 10 15 week to 40 45 week with back to back long runs in weekends, and with plans to peak at around 70 week.

Granted, there’s a reason it’s not called the north face endurance fun run. ninety degree heat, extreme humidity, and three mile long passes along a cliff so rocky it required more tiptoeing than running helped to ensure that my first 50 miler, part of the north face endurance challenge, lived up to the name.
