Zincville. comments: located to the east between picher and hockerville. remains: there are only a few houses and a church. zincville first started under the name of st. louis. this community was probably mainly employees of the st. louis smelting & refining co., one of the biggest mining companies in the picher lead and zinc mining district. Cardin. ottawa. 2wd. 3. hot summer, cold winter. anytime. located 1 mile southwest of picher. cardin, ok is entirely depopulated and abandoned since 2008. because they were a much smaller town, they were the first of the tar creek superfund area towns to completely agree to a buyout and relocation.
