The p 47d (a heavy plane) can reach 790kph ias in a 10 degree dive. the bf 109 f4 (a relatively lighter plane) can only reach a speed of 660kph ias in a 10 degree dive. the bf 109 f4 would need to dive steeper (15 degrees for example) to match your speed (790kph ias), and even more steeper to gain on you.
