Pin On Vintage Stereo Here's my current setup. the cable on the left is my 30 year old monster cable speaker cable with pin connectors. the cable on the right is my other 30 year old monster cable with new nakamichi flexible pin connectors. the nakamichi pin connectors were too large for the pin speaker holes on my receiver. While this looks straight forward, i'm not an electrician, so feel free to point out possible issues. replace the two prong ac plug with an iec receptacle. adding a ground looks like a simple connection from the iec ground to the metal chassis. some vintage receivers have a mega ohm resistor (or maybe a capacitor) across the hot and neutral wires.
