Test for power and ground at the (unplugged) connector with the ac running. it's the compressor that won't come on when there's low refrigerant pressure, and the fan should always run when required, regardless of coolant level. 2011 3i 2.0 a t 153k miles. this is an older thread, you may not receive a response, and could be reviving an old thread.
Mazda 3 Radiator Fan Not Working I also put a scangague2 in so i had a temperature gauge. again the fan wasn't working, so i ordered a four seasons brand from rock, and installed it last night. the new fan did not have the ground attachment on the fan motor housing or the attachment on the control module, so i moved them over from the old unit. the new fan still does not work. Here are some of the problems i'm seeing. 1. radiator fan not spinning. i'm not sure if this should be constantly running if the car is on but even after some 20 minutes of driving, it's still not running. 2. i lose a c if i'm idle. now with this, my red temp gauge is not flashing or on. The fan should be running constantly at a medium speed when the a c is on. the new fan runs like it should, and my old one is still on and off. then, i removed the old fan and removed the motor and turbine from the shroud. while i could have taken and directly swapped the mazda3 fan, the fan shrouds are different. Find the positive and negative leads, blue red and black , but make. sure. if backwards it wont turn the fan. take two pieces of long wire appoximately the same gauge as the. fan harness and directly apply voltage from the battery. touch the blue red to the positive and the black to the negative on the. battery.
