Pin On Classroom This month, we are challenging you to recreate the rainforest exhibit at home! use any plants, animals, or whatever else you have on hand to create the tropi. The tropical rainforest is a very dense, hot, and wet forest characterized by high rainfall of 100 inches or more per year. tropical rainforests can be found all around the globe, close to the equator. there you will find taller trees, lots of vines, ferns, and epiphytes, or plants that grow on other plants.

Step 12: waterfall. take the ice cream container and cut around the whole container. the cut out piece should be rectangle in shape. this is used to support the fondant for the waterfall. then take the fondant and add blue food colouring to it. then shape the fondant into thin long strips, you may need 4 to 5 strips. 1. start with the shoebox turned upside down to maximize space of the rainforest. 2. paste a color photo of a tropical rainforest to use as a backdrop for the diorama. print out this free image of a tropical rainforest. 3. create a simple river design by carefully gluing the tan rocks into the shape of a river. Tip 1: use realistic materials. i always try to use realistic materials when creating a rainforest diorama. this helps to make the diorama look more authentic and engaging for kids. some materials that work well include: realistic looking artificial plants and trees. moss, rocks, and pebbles. sand, dirt, and gravel.
