With so much to love about “no way home,” the only shame is that it’s not a bit more tightly presented. there’s no reason for this movie to be 148 minutes, especially given how much the first half has a habit of repeating its themes and plot points. watts (and the mcu in general) has a habit of over explaining things and there’s a. Strange shows up. something really wacky happens in the city. it involves a few familiar faces—though to be clear, those faces are familiar to real world moviegoers, not spidey. he has to save.
Verdict. spider man: no way home hits all the right notes as the mcu's latest entry. its impact on the universe as a whole, as well as the overall emotional beats, all feel earned. stellar.
