At the end shadow says, "goodbye forever, shadow the hedgehog." which was clearly supposed to be, "sayonara, shadow the hedgehog." to call back to sa2. in japanese, they say, "adios, shadow the hedgehog" in sa2, and that's also what shadow says at the end of sth. whoever did the initial translation knew this was a call back, so they changed it. Yo, can i just mention how insanely upset i am that they messed up the callback to sonic's sa2 "sayonara, shadow the hedgehog" line in shadow's own game? shadow says the line again at the end of shadow the hedgehog, but in the english version they fully translated it as "goodbye forever, shadow the hedgehog" for some super strange reason. Shadow was angrier than he'd ever been seen before. unfortunately for him, his outburst was unexpectedly loud. there was an almost comical record scratch as all activity came to a halt. as everyone turned to stare at the duo, sonic could see a pair of black furred ears flatten against an equally black furred head.
