First ever fursuit progress! i know the foam is rough but i’m smoothing everything out as i work :3 i’m making a partial, so just the head, paws, feet, and tail (for now, at least). i’m on a semi tight budget right now so i’m diying everything possible. couldn’t afford a bunch of eva foam tiles… so i cut out some paws from a playmat. The only things you should avoid are things that can hold moisture like cardboard or other paper products, and low quality fur. 1 square yard of 1″ thick high density upholstery foam. high density upholstery foam (select 0.5″ x 24″ x 72″) hot glue gun (high or dual temp) and lots of hot glue sticks (~25 50) hot glue gun. This is a really really awesome first go at making a head! maybe try drawing the nose and nose bridge on top of the foam. it could help with defining the shape more, and might help you figure out the nose itself! this looks soooo good, especially for your first head! me being a perfectionist all i’d suggest is just to try to smoothly carve.
