Recently, india innovation index report 2021 was released by niti (national institution for transforming india) aayog in which karnataka retained its top position in the major states category. this is the third edition of the report, which highlights the scope of innovation analysis in the country by drawing on the framework of the global. Niti aayog has constructed the sdg india index spanning 13 out of 17 sdgs (leaving out goals 12, 13, 14 and 17). the index tracks the progress of all the states and union territories (uts) on a set of 62 national indicators, measuring their progress on the outcomes of the interventions and government schemes.
