7 Segment Counter Circuit Diagram The equation governing the time period is given by t= 1.1 x r x c. ic 4026 is a seven segment display decade counter which is used to drive a 7 segment display with input clock pulse. here the clock pulse was obtained from the monostable multivibrator and fed into the pin 1 of the ic2 4026 since count value should be started from the 7 segment. The circuit diagram of object counter is quite similar to my previous project ( digital stopwatch circuit) but a little complex . in this circuit we have used a comparator ( ic lm358) and ir transmitter and receiver pair for detecting a object. and then we have used a 555 timer ic to generate a pulse for triggering the seven segment decoder.

To use the 7 segment with ease, there is a 7 segment driver ic which is ic cd4026, so we are building 7 segment counter circuit using 4026 ic. ic cd4026. 4026 ic is a 4000 series ic. it is a cmos seven segment counter ic and can be operated at very low power. it is a decade counter, counts in decimal digits (0 9).
