Seven segment display circuit

Seven Segment Display Circuit This visitor counter circuit will count the visitor number of persons entered in the room or hall. the circuit explained in this tutorial today, is using two cd4026 ics with two 7 segment led displays. this digital visitor counter circuit can go up to 99 counts. as soon as a person enters the room, the counter value increments by 1. In this post i will show how to construct a visitor counter circuit using ic 555, ic 4026 and laser (for contactless triggering) which can count up to 9999 visitors and showcases it on four 7 segment displays. in this post we will see the following: block diagram and explanation. ic 555 monostable multivibrator and laser trigger circuit.

Visitor Counter Circuit Using Ic Segment Display My Xxx Ho Ic cd4026. 4026 ic is a 4000 series ic. it is a cmos seven segment counter ic and can be operated at very low power. it is a decade counter, counts in decimal digits (0 9). it is used to display numbers on seven segment displays and it increment the number by one, when a clock pulse is applied to its pin 1. Working explanation. a simple circuit uses a 555 timer ic, a decade counter ic 4026 and a seven segment (common cathode type) led. the 555 ic is configured in a monostable multivibrator mode that produces a pulse each time the count key is pressed. the clock pulse is an input to the ic 4026 that counts each pulse and derives the seven segments led. The circuit is built around popular cd4026 counter ics (ic1 and ic2), light dependent resistor (ldr1), transistor bc547 (t1), common cathode seven segment displays (dis1 and dis2) and a few other components. the advantage of using cd4026 counter ic is that it drives a 7 segment display without the need of a driver ic. fig. 1: visitor counter. Cd4026 is a johnson counter ic commonly used in digital display. it has a 5 stage johnson decade counter with a decoder which converts the johnson code to a 7 segment decoded output. to put it simply, it will convert the input into numeric display and can be seen on 7 segment display or with led. it can be used for displaying analogue value.
