At the very top of the maya vector rendering settings you'll see the fill options tab. go ahead and uncheck the fill objects box. this will make it so that when you render it will just be the wireframe, and not the underlying geometry. scroll down toward the bottom until you see edge options and check the include edges box. Apply a new material to the entire model. select the shading group node for this new material, and navigate to mental ray > contours. make sure that you select the checkbox for “enable contour rendering.”. once checked, changing the color will change the wireframe color. changing the width will adjust the wireframe thickness.
