Rit Zine Fest 2024 Rit Press The sau was bursting with creative energy as students flocked to zinefest [zeen fest] on march 22. zinefest is an event hosted by hinda mandell, ph.d., a professor for the college of liberal arts school of communication. the event, sponsored by the school of communication, derives its name from the term zine (short for magazine or fanzine. Rit zine fest returns on friday, march 22, 2024, in the lobby of rit’s student alumni union. we are excited to have a table at this event again, with books and cards for sale. this event is free and open to the public! stay tuned for a full list of other vendors. zine fest is brought to you by the rit school of communication and rit libraries.

Zine Fest Rit Andreu has led zine workshops for the rit community and, along with mandell, is a key player in organizing the annual rit zine fest—an event that invites the local community to distribute their zines and other artwork. “making zines can get people to think about alternative ways of presenting information. The annual event featuring diy media, creativity and zines returns to rit, with the 2024 rit zine fest. the event takes place in the sau lobby from 10 a.m. 1 p.m. come support your local makers and creatives focusing on print publishing.
